The Libertines set to Begin Writing New Material?
There could be new material on the way from The Libertines if the recent comments by the band's perplexing frontman, Pete Doherty are true.
The singer has revealed in a recent interview with online TV
Hernu & Harris Unhinged that he has spoke with his long
suffering bandmate, Carl Barat about the idea, he
said (via NME):
"I spoke to Carl yesterday and he's going to come out to Paris. Then maybe we'll go back out to Thailand together and do some writing."
Doherty added that he had been "enjoying" the delights of Paris
since his return from a Drug Treatment centre in Thailand,
"It's been three-and-a-half weeks since I've laid beside a woman in the biblical sense. It's been good for my head."
The Libertines, who many believe were on the cusp of rock superstardom before Doherty's indulgencies spiralled out of control, reunited in 2010 for a series of small shows along with headline slots at Reading & Leeds Festivals.
