Joe Bonamassa Performs All-Acoustic Showcase at The Montreux Festival -

Toward the end of June (29th) rising Blues legend Joe Bonamassa debuted an all acoustic show at the world renowned Montreux Festival.

Joe brought an exclusive All-Acoustic presentation to the prestigious Vienna Opera House that was also recorded for a brand new DVD slated for a March 2013 release date. The Black Country Communion guitarist enlisted an eclectic assortment  musicians from around the globe for the performance including:  Gerry O'Connor, a music historian and traditional Irish fiddler; Swedish multi-instrumentalist Mats Wester; Los Angeles keyboard maestro Arlan Schierbaum, and rounding out this cast is legendary Puerto Rican percussionist Lenny Castro.

During his time in Vienna, Joe paid a visit to the Klangfarbe Music Store, which is located in the historic Gasometer buildings, to meet & greet fans; and was honoured by the Vienna Walk Of Stars where his hands, feet, and signature were imprinted. He now joins the likes of Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Steve Lukather, Peter Frampton, Bryan Adams and Manfred Mann on the Walk of Stars.

Steeped in musical history, the Montreux Festival is the brainchild of passionate Jazz fan and visionary Claude Nobs in 1967. It is now the second largest annual music festival in the world after Canada's Montreal International Jazz Festival and is considered  a concert staple for Music lovers in Europe and around the world.

Before the show Joe explained of his new acoustic show, "I don't know what to expect when I walk out there.. the adrenaline will take over and we will see what happens.
