The Strokes Start Work on the Follow-up to 'Angles' -

New York garage-rock saviours The Strokes have reportedly started work on their fifth studio album, reports NME.

Following the release of the 'Angles' LP, Casablancas and co revealed they would not be wasting no time in returning to the studio to record the follow-up. However, it was widely rumoured that tension in the Strokes camp were riding high due to the frontman's solo ambitions.

The band are working with producer Gus Oberg, who produced 'Angels' and Albert Hammond Jnr's 2008 solo effort 'Como Te Llama?,' on the new project at the world-renowned Electric Lady Studios in New York.

Check out this video interview with bassist Nikolai Fraiture discussing the band's plans for the follow-up to 'Angles' at Benicassim 2011.
