ZZ Top release Texicali EP -

That little ol' band from Texas are back with a brand newfour-track EP which is now available from iTunes and all digitalretail outlets.

The new EP, entitled 'Texicali,' has been produced byworld-renowned record producer Rick Rubin. It is part of afull-length ZZ Top album which, at present is still untitled andhasn't been given a release date. Although the new album will bereleased through American Recordings.

Rubin said:

"Based on the visibility of the 'Gotsta Get Paid' song, we decidedto make available more of a taste of the album than just the onesong."

He continued: "That's the beauty of the new digital landscape; wecan put out what we want when we want, in the best service of theartist."

Gibbons notes

"We were itching to get some new music out before the full albumrelease; making available these four tracks seems like a good wayto accomplish that most expeditiously. Dusty, Frank and I are happywith what's been accomplished in the studio so we figured we'dprovide some hot and tasty 'hors d'oeuvres' before the main courseis served this fall."
