The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert to be Released onDVD -

The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert which took place in 1992 isto be released as a three-disc DVD set this coming September.

The tribute show featured surviving Queen members Brian May,Roger Taylor and John Deacon perform a set brimming with Queenclassics in memory of thee legendry frontman.

Billed as "one of the biggest events in rock history," theconcert raised global awareness of AIDS issues and brought in fundsfor the Mercury Phoenix Trust charity. Profits from the releasewill go to AIDS charities around the world via the trust.

In what was billed as "one of the biggest events in rockhistory," the tribute concert was held on Easter Monday, 20 April1992 at London's Wembley Stadium, for an audience of 72,000. Theconcert raised global awareness of AIDS issues and raised funds forthe Mercury Phoenix Trust charity.

The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert is released on September 2via Eagle Rock. Profitsfrom the release will go to AIDS charities around the world via thetrust.
