TC Electronic Announces Limited-Time-Only PolyTune Noir-

For guitarists, 2012 started with a bang when TC Electronic revealed theworld's smallest polyphonic tuner: PolyTune® Mini - the tuner thatwill fit on any pedal board. Now, TC is proud to introduce PolyTuneNoir, an exclusive, customized version in the most rock'n'rollcolors of all: black! PolyTune Noir is available as an exclusivelimited run on October 15th (U.S. October 26th) and retails at EUR79 SSP, GBP 62 SSP or USD 89,99 MAP.

Still reeling from the success of the original PolyTune andPolyTune MIni, guitarists everywhere connected with tuners likenever before. Due to the intense connection between TC and theguitar community, plenty of feedback was given on the revolutionarytrailblazers that came before PolyTune Noir. The number onerequest: "When can I get a customized black one?". The answer is:now.

Tore Mogensen, Product Manager for Guitar at TC Electroniccomments: "The original PolyTune was a game changer and PolyTuneMini was a marvel of engineering. Guitarists everywhere loved it,we got the accolades, a TEC award, several 'best in shows' and, youknow, all the good stuff. But there seemed to be a need fromhigh-profile players to the extremely serious amateur musician forcustomization. So PolyTune Noir is just that: an answer to requestsfrom guitarists. We love the white version, it's become an icon inunder two years, that's pretty remarkable, but we decided to havesome fun and do an exclusive version of PolyTune Mini. Around theoffice, we  call the color 'Sabbath Black'. Though that's byno means an official paint type, we think this color just plainrocks!" Laughs: "It's like, 'how much more black could this be?'and the answer is 'None. None more black."

PolyTune Noir is based on the exact same technology as theoriginal PolyTune and PolyTune Mini, so like its brothers it showsthe tuning state of all strings simultaneously by simply strummingthe guitar, allowing guitarists to get back to playing in a matterof seconds.

Just like the original PolyTune and PolyTune Mini, PolyTune Noiris among the most precise tuners in the world, tuning with +/- 0.5cent precision in chromatic mode and +/- 1 cent accuracy inpolyphonic mode. Also, it automatically switches between chromaticand polyphonic modes depending on whether all strings are strummedat once or each string is picked individually. Finally, PolyTuneNoir features Drop-D and Capo modes as well as True Bypass for zerotone coloration and a super-bright LED display with the same amountof LEDs as the original PolyTune.
