Steve Stevens Teams Up With Knaggs Guitars

In time for Billy Idol's 2012 tour, Grammy-Award winning guitarplayer and long time collaborator SteveStevens received his first Knaggs guitar. Tailored to Steve's specsand preferences it will accompany the legendary guitarist on theirEuropean summer tour and following U.S. shows.

The instrument, based on Knaggs' Kenai model and finished inFaded Onyx, features a slightly thicker carved Mahogany body with acarved curly Maple top, a set Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard and 'Morning Star' inlays and Knaggs' proprietary two-in-onebridge, combining a tune-o-matic and string holder into one unit,thus increasing harmonics and sustain. Two volume and tone controlsdrive the Fralin pure PAF humbuckers.

Joseph Knaggs, Peter Wolf and the Knaggs team inGreensboro, Maryland, are carving a niche for themselves in theworld of high-end guitar making in just a few short years. Some ofthe Artists currently using Knaggs instruments include NilsLofgren, Stuart Fraser, Bernd Roemer, Mick Hayes, Ben Miller, MickWoll, Tim Stephens and two time Latin Grammy nominee PabloOlivares.
