Rotosound Re-invent Legendary Vintage Fuzz Pedal-

Rotosound has re-issued their legendaryVintage Fuzz Pedal using the same essentialcircuit configuration as the 1960's original design, combined withmodern resistors and capacitors. The new pedal combines yesterday'smojo and tone flavour with the reliability and stability of today'scomponent technology.

The original prototype pedals were only ever available inlimited numbers and never released for general sales. Nonethelessthese pedals were found all over the place - there is even apicture of Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page playingone.

Rotosound have reinvented this celebratedpedal working together with fabled guitar tone tweaker, Dr. BarryR. Pyatt. The pedal is faithful to the original, with the importantactive components being genuine vintage germanium stock, thuspreserving the authentic, and original, sound.

The re-issue circuit, just like the original uses aDarlington Pair for high gain input, which drives a compensated'fuzz' transistor. The Fuzz Control changes the amount of drivefrom a soft crunch to a gruff growl whilst still retaining thesignature germanium roundness. The Treble Control then varies theratio of bass to treble allowing a good range from muddy to crisp. The Volume Control alters the output level and to maintaincleanliness of sound, the pedal is switched on using dedicatedcontacts on the 'instrument' input jack. The re-issue pedal nowfeatures "true bypass" switching to be compatible with contemporarypedal architecture.

Renowned as one of the easiest effect pedals to use whenfirst launched in the UK, its simplicity was always one of its mainattractions as well the exceptional tone and smooth sustain. Thenew pedal retains all these original qualities with the addition ofcontemporary controllability and consistency.

The pedal (RRP £250, $379) is encased in a pressed steel boxfinished in a gloss silver hammer powder coating, again mimickingthe traditional Rotosound pedal. It is extremely robust, durableand hardwearing and in keeping with their tradition ofmanufacturing in the UK, the pedal is made at Rotosound's factoryin Sevenoaks, Kent under the strictest quality control. It will beshipping November/ December 2012.

If it is true vintage germanium fuzz you seek, then you havefound your 'Holy Grail' in this re-release of the Rotosound FuzzPedal. The Rotosound Fuzz is back! To find out more visit>>  www.rotosound.com/fuzz_reissue.php
