NAMM 2013: Godin Unveil Guitars For 40th Anniversary VIDEO

GODIN COMMEMORATING 40 YEARSOF CANADIAN MADE GUITARS @ WINTER NAMM

Along with the many new Godin models that made their debut atWinter NAMM, the company also unveiled two Anniversary models tocommemorate a 40-year milestone in the industry. We caught up withRichard Bunze at the NAMM show to find out more about the newadditions. Watch the video below:

Thenew Acousticaster has been updated to include GodinGJN1mini-humbucker, revamped top mounted preamp, and two ¼" outputsfor Electric and Acoustic/Mix. The Norman B20 was the first guitarreleased by the company in 1972 and the Godin Acousticaster was theoriginal electro-acoustic hybrid guitar released under the Godinbrand and essentially the guitar that put Godin on the map.

This thinline, semi-hollow body electric features a Canadianwild cherry top, back and sides, with an innovative spruce"breathe-through" carved core. This unique feature promotes freeairflow through the interior center block, in turn, making theMontreal Premiere a supremely resonant and vibrant guitar. Otherfeatures include a 3-way toggle switch along with 1x volume &1x tone knob, a 24 ¾" scale, mahogany set-neck with rosewoodfingerboard, double-bound binding, high-gloss custom polishedfinish, contoured high-gloss headstock with high-ratio vintagestyle tuners, and ResoMax bridge system by Graphtech with stoptailpiece. A Bigsby equipped option is also available. Availablefinishes: Natural HG, Trans Red HG, Trans Black HG and SunburstHG.

 

Godin MultiUke:

Make way for the new Godin MultiUke! This Canadian made, tenorsize, electro-acoustic Ukulele finds its home within the renownedGodin Multiac Series of guitars, known for exceptional amplifiedacoustic sound without feedback. The MultiUke follows suit, in itsown "little" way, featuring a chambered mahogany body design, solidspruce top, rosewood fingerboard & bridge, custom voicedelectronics and onboard preamp with 3-band EQ. Available finishes:Natural HG or Sunburst HG.

 

Godin 5th Avenue Composer GT:

The 5th Avenue Composer GT features a Canadian wild cherry bodywith arched top and arched back, silver leaf maple neck withrosewood fingerboard, a Custom Godin Humbucker pickup in the neckposition, controlled via 1x volume & 1x tone knob, giving theplayer a full, warm expression of the guitars tonalcharacteristics.  Other features include cream binding,classic f-holes, contoured high-gloss headstock with high-ratiotuners and an adjustable Tusq bridge by Graphtech. The Gloss Top(GT) is paired with semi-gloss back & sides for an aestheticthat is second to none! Available in Natural GT or Sunburst GTfinish options.

 

Godin Inuk Encore & Inuk Ambiance Steelfretted:

The Godin Inuk Encore Steel & Inuk Ambiance Steel areelectro-acoustic, 11-string, fretted instruments featuring steelstrings, which are tuned in unison. Inspired by the Godin MultiOud,the new Inuk makes for an effortless transition for guitaristslooking for a unique amplified acoustic sound to add to theircollection. The Inuk Encore Steel with Antique Burst semi-glossfinish features a chambered Canadian Laurentian basswood body,solid cedar top, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard &bridge, along with custom voiced Godin EPM Quantum IT electronicswith under saddle transducer in the bridge & an onboard preampwith built-in tuner.
