Motorhead Forced to 'Pull Out' of Remaining FestivalDates -

Motorhead have been forced to cancel the final 8 dates of theirsummer European festival tour following orders from frontmanLemmy's doctor.

The bassist recently suffered a haematoma (where blood collectsoutside of a blood vessel) which subsequently forced Motorhead tocancel a trio of earlier dates, this followed the news that Lemmyhad fitted with a defibrillator due to ongoing heart problems.

"Things are improving with Lemmy, but the doctors in Berlinare recommending that he rests for another couple of weeks,"drummer Mikkey Dee told Swedish newspaper GT.se

"We can't keep canceling show after show, it's too costly.Therefore we unfortunately have to cancel the entiretour."

Dee also added that an official announcement regarding Lemmy'shealth will be made.

"We're really sorry, but we're not cancelling because of acold and this is something we've put a lot of thoughtinto."

Motorhead are scheduled to release their 21st studio album'Aftershock' later this year.
