Monkees Announce US Tour -

The Monkees have announced their first live showsince the death of Davy Jones inFebruary. 

The remaining members of the pop-icons, MichaelNesmith, Mickey Donlenz and PeterTork have revealed that the group will launch a 12-dateU.S tour in November. The tour is set to kick off in Escondido,California on Nov.8 and will finish up in New York on Dec.2.

The Monkees will play a varied selection of their biggest hitsfrom their first five albums plus music from their film, 'Head' aswell as their TV series. The tour will also be accompanied by amultimedia showcase which will 'highlight' Jones and will featurerare films and photographs.

"This seems like a good time to do this - the righttime," Nesmith told Rolling Stone. "Who knows when we will get anotherchance?"
