Megadeth Abandon Set at Croatia's Metalfest -

Thrash godfathers Megadeth were forced to prematurely end theirset at Croatian festival Metalfest earlier this week after thecrowd started hurling objects toward the stage. 

Dave Mustaine and co were playing on the event's Main Stage onTuesday (June 5th) performing tracks from their new album'Th13teen,' when the crowd began booing and chanting for 80'smetallers W.A.S.P  to appear after unconfirmed reports thatBlackie Lawless, the band's frontman, had refused to perform afteran altercation with Mustaine backstage.

After Megadeth cut short their set, a spokesman for the bandaddressed the audience and announced:

"Guys, Dave's been hit in the head with a rock… I apologize. He'sbeen hit in the head."

The crowd then launched further missiles at the spokesmanprompting him to also leave the stage amid chants of'Megas**t.'

Megadeth, who released their last album 'Th1rt3en' in late 2011,are scheduled to appear at this weekend's Download Festival.
