Leading London Music School Announces Major Expansion andInvestment in Facilities -
The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, widely regardedas one of the world's leading providers of music education, isinvesting over a quarter of a million pounds in the learningenvironment in the coming year. The investment provides both anenhancement of the existing facilities and provision of newprofessional equipment, including a broadcast quality recordingstudio, bespoke teaching rooms, live performance spaces, drumbooths, keyboard and technology suites, student recreation areasand associated facilities.
As part of this on-going investment, the Institute is alsoexpanding its London facilities by over 40% resulting in the Londoncampus extending to over 20,000 square feet of new, custom built,facilities. Paul Kirkham, Managing Director at the Institute,said:
'We are delighted to announce this new expansion and investmentin our facilities in London. We have been focusing on thereorganisation and upgrading of the Institute for several yearsnow, and this is the next phase in our plans to continually provideour students with state-of-the-art equipment in a learningenvironment of the highest quality.
The extra space will benefit all students and allow us tofurther develop our teaching provision, across a focused portfolioof industry relevant courses covering music practice, performance,song writing and music business. New technology will beincorporated at every level, and the enhanced environment willfurther support our students as they pursue their studies anddevelop the skills needed to make a career in the musicindustry.
We are starting the works this summer, which means thatcontinuing students and those enrolling on an Institute course forthe first time in September will immediately benefit from thesechanges. The investment and expansion will continue throughout theyear, culminating in summer 2013.'
