Jared James Nichols To Release First Studio EP 'Old Glory & The Wild Revival'

22-year old emerging singer/singwriter and 'Blues Soul Power'guitarist Jared James Nichols is set to release his first studio EP'Old Glory & The Wild Revival' this week (July 23rd) on SwingHouse Quality Recordings and will kick off his 18+ date 'The WildRevival Tour' this Friday. Blues and classic rock n roll embodied, Jared is avery welcome addition to the new wave of classic rock & R&Binfluenced acts like Gary Clark Jr., Vintage Trouble and The StoneFoxes with a work ethic and charisma that is virtually unmatched.Jared gets down to the nitty-gritty with songs that hit close tohome, touching on the timeless blues aesthetic in every waypossible while still managing to put his own thoughtful twist onit. He keeps that sound pumping, turning any room into an instantparty between stunned looks from his mesmerizing guitar licks.

Jared is launching his tour to Sturgis where he is invited toplay at the legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip Festival amongst notableacts The Cult, ZZ Top and Kid Rock. The new EP includes thetracks"Blackfoot" (with Jessica Childress fromThe Voice),"Let YouGo," "Can You Feel It?, "Sometimes…" and "Take My Hand"- allproduced by Warren Huart (Aerosmith, The Fray).

Born in East Troy, Wisconsin and raised near Waukesha(hometown of Les Paul), Jared was influenced by the classic playingof Son House, Freddy King, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton. Asa teen Jared worked at a resort and would sneak onstage in offhours and mimic the licks and moves of his hero, Stevie RayVaughan. Honing his craft and performing since the age of 13, hebegan attending local Milwaukee and Chicago blues jams, learningfrom legends who took him under his wing and shared the stage withthe young rocker.

 

 

Having played well over 500+ gigsby the time he was21, Jared had settled into his sound - what he describes as "BluesSoul Power"- melting faces with his intricate guitar solos andcausing crowds to swoon with his to-the-point lyrics and ruggedvocals. In addition to playing some of the top clubs and festivalsacross America,

Jared has opened and shared the stage with the likesof Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Derek Trucks and Honey Boy Edwards, toname a few. At 20 years oldhe moved to Hollywood and met upwith Swedish musicians Dennis Holm (drums) & Eric Sandin (bass)forming a electrifying Power Trio. Taking pieces of traditionaldelta blues, 70's classic rock and a dash of modern indie garagemakes up the sounds of Jared's Flying V propelled songs.

Jared won the 2010 Jerry Horton guitar contest, 2011Les Paul Tribute Contest, as well as Musicians Institute's 2011"Outstanding Guitarist Award".  Jared's first recordingentitled Live at the Viper Room EP was releasedin June 2012 and has been well received among music and guitaraficionados around the world garnering features in a string ofguitar magazines.

After gaining steam with the EP and his performancesaround LA, Jared was invited to play onstage with rock superstarsJoey Belladonna, Alex Skolnick, Marco Mendoza and Glen Sobel duringD'Addario's Artist Appreciation Party at the 2012-2013 Winter NAMMShow.  After having a very successful southwestern tour thispast March, with excellent showings throughout SXSW, Jared signedwith Sony/MTV's Hyp e Music Publishing.  In addition, Jaredhas been causing a buzz with such noteworthy musicians and industryheavyweights asSteven Tyler, Joe Bonamassa, producers Eddie Kramer,Jack Douglas and Warren Huart.
