Gary Moore Live: Jimi Hendrix Tribute Package Coming Soon

Eagle Rock Entertainment is proud toannounce the September 25 release of the Gary Moore CD, DVD andBlu-ray title Blues For Jimi [Pre-book Order Date August 31, MSRP$14.98 for DVD, $19.98 for Blu-ray, and $13.98 for CD].

This release captures a unique concertfeaturing Moore playing Jimi Hendrix tracks, including suchclassics as "Purple Haze," "Foxy Lady," "The Wind Cries Mary," "HeyJoe," "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" and many more. Filmed at theLondon Hippodrome on October 25, 2007, it was part of the launchfor the Jimi Hendrix "Live At Monterey" program.

At the end of the night, Gary wasjoined by Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox of the Jimi HendrixExperience for three tracks.  The full line-up for thisshow was Gary Moore (guitar, vocals); Dave Bronze (bass); DarrinMooney (drums) with Billy Cox (bass on tracks 9-11, and also vocalson the first two of those) and Mitch Mitchell (drums on tracks9-11).

Both Gary Moore and Mitch Mitchellhave passed since this concert took place, which makes therecording of this incredible night so special. Gary Moore was oneof the finest British guitarists of all time and is one of the fewplayers who could pay homage to Jimi Hendrix's groundbreaking andtruly distinctive guitar style. This is a stunning tribute from onemaster guitarist to another.
