After nearly 5 years of planning, construction of The Jimi Hendrix Park in Seattle will now commence in April following the winning rebid of the development to ERRG, Inc. reports the Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation.

The first phase, entitled "Little Wing", will include paved walkways, enhanced landscaping and "a chronological timeline of Jimi's life and career" that will feature along a side path subtly shaped like the neck of a guitar.

Fundraising is still going ahead for the second phase of the Jimi Hendrix Park. For more info or to contribute, visit the Foundation's official website.
