Epiphone introduces alimited run version of the Jack Casady Signature Bass, featuring asilverburst finish.

When Jack and Epiphone set out to build this guitar, they werelooking for a balanced electric tone with an upright acoustic bassresponse, and that is what this bass guitar is all about.

Casady is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and isknown for his work with Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna. As atestament to his influence and talent, Bass Player magazine honoredhim with a Lifetime Achievement award. Simply put, this guy knowshis Bass guitar.

He was quoted saying: "When I first started playing, I ranacross a short scale semi-hollow bass. I really enjoyed thesemi-hollow nature of that

bass and over the years tried to capture that characteristic."This is what led him to design a bass that combined the tone of anacoustic with the power and flexibility of an electric. The endproduct seems to have achieved this, as attested by players likeGuy Berryman of Coldplay, Brian Ray of Paul McCartney's band, BlakeMorgan of The Mavericks, G5 of Anvil and Chris Donohue of EmmylouHarris' Red Dirt Boys.
