Electro-Harmonix Unveils The Tone Tattoo

EHX is pleased to introduce their first true multi-effects pedalcombining three of the most popular guitar effects: distortion,chorus and delay. Each of the all-analog Tone Tattoo's sections wastaken from one of the company's best selling products: Metal Mufffor distortion, Neo Clone for chorus and Memory Toy for delay.

The effects in the Tone Tattoo are completely independent. Threefootswitches provide individual control over which effect is on oroff. Additionally, every parameter in this compact pedal has adedicated knob or switch so there is no need to scroll throughmenus. The Metal Muff is the first pedal in the chain and featurescontrols for Drive, Volume, Treble and Bass. A three-positionmini-toggle Scoop switch let's the player select high (-11dB) orlow (-7.5dB) mid frequency attenuation. In the down or Offposition, there is no attenuation. There is also a Gate button andThreshold control. These reduce hum at higher drive settings andmake the echoes from the Memory Toy more distinct when usingdistortion and delay together.

The second effect in the chain is chorus. A Rate knob controlsthe Neo Clone's modulation speed and a Depth button let's theplayer select high or low chorus intensity.

The Memory Toy is the last effect in the chain and delivers 30msto 550ms of delay time adjustable through its Delay control.Additional controls for Feedback, Blend and Gain are alsoprovided.

Using the Tone Tattoo is like having three separate effectspedals on a pedalboard without the need for additional cables orpower supplies-all in a package with a 4.75″ x 5.75″ footprint. TheTone Tattoo is shipping now, comes equipped with a 9.6V AC-DCAdaptor and carries a U.S. List Price of $294.
