Def Leppard Plan to Record New Music During VegasResidency -
Def Leppard are planning on writing newmaterial during their upcoming Las Vegas residency, however fansshouldn't get too excited about the prospect of a new album justyet, according to Classic Rock.
Frontman Joe Elliot has revealed he is hoping tohire a separate hotel room in order to set up a recording studio inorder for the band to write between shows.
However, for now they have to focus on perpetrations for theirmonth-long residency performing tracks from 'Hysteria' in which thehard-rock veterans haven't played in decades.
Elliott tells Rolling Stone:
"It'll not be too hard; we're not changing arrangements likeBowie or Tom Waits might do. We're going to play the songs as theyare on the record. We're going to revert back to the originalversions."
With the Vegas shows during March and April based on a schedule ofthree days on, four days off, the band should find time toconcentrate on writing material.
"I don't know if we'll do an album. Maybe the way to go isput one or two tracks out at a time and see how it goes - almostlike a seven-inch single."
Def Leppard will be taking over the Hard Rock Hotel &Casino in Las Vegas for an exclusive nine show residencyentitled VIVA Hysteria! The shows will runfrom 22 March through 10 April 2013 at The Joint at Hard RockHotel & Casino.
