Dean Markley Launches Lita Ford Black Widow Artist Series Strings

(PRESS RELEASE): Dean Markley USA announces the new Black Widow artist series set with Lita Ford. The strings are made of nickel plated steel featuring her preferred 9-46 gauges. The new line is now available through authorized local retailers, distributors, litafordonline.com, and at select Lita Ford shows.

The Black Widow strings are designed with the wrap wire over a hex core on the third, fourth, and fifth string. This allows the wrap wire to provide 100% contact with the core insuring maximum transfer of tone and sustain. An additional benefit of this unique design is the ability of the string to bend easier while maintaining proper tension and staying in tune during performance.

Lita shares, “This pack is a nice blend of lighter gauge to heavier gauge strings for players who like to bend and stretch those high notes to the extreme. The lower gauge strings are a bit heavier, to keep the chug of your guitar thick and beefy. The best of both worlds.”

Lita Ford’s legendary career began in 1975 as a member of the Runaways. The all-girl band toured around the world on a wave of international success, molding and setting the landscape for future female rockers.  In the 80’s, Lita celebrated a solo career full of chart topping hits.  Today, she is back touring the world with new music, a new band, and drive like never before.
