Black Sabbath make Return to the U.S -
America's Lollapalooza festival played host to the return ofBlack Sabbath on US soil this past Friday (Aug.3), bar long-timedrummer Bill Ward who is still holding out over a contractdispute.
Still, the trio of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butlerwere joined by Tommy Cluefetos, who has replaced Ward for the timebeing, took the stage at Chicago's Grant Park for their onlyscheduled US performance this year.
The near 120 minute set was crammed with the sort of classic metalnumbers which earned them their title as the most 'important heavymetal band of all time.'
Kicking off with the self-titled 'Black Sabbath', they rippedthrough hits such as 'The Wizard' in which Ozzy performed with aharp, 'Beyond the Wall of Sleep', 'Warpigs' and 'N.I.B.'
Many hailed the set as one of the festival's finest moment, withthe only real criticism being aimed at stand-in drummer Cluefetos, who joined the aging rock legends as they took a well deserved bowat the end of the show.
